Maxus G10 and V80 lead brand’s PH charge

Maxus Philippines has just unveiled two van nameplates set to compete in the country’s healthy multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment.

Headlining the brand launch of Maxus in the Philippines at the Blue Leaf Filipinas in Parañaque City on Wednesday are the G10 and V80.

The G10 is a nine-seater MPV that offers a spacious interior along with comfort amenities.

The G10 has a price tag of P1,680,000

On the inside, the Maxus G10 has four captain seats in the second and third rows along with a 60:40 split rear bench that can seat up to three individuals. The rear seats can also be folded to offer additional luggage space.

The cockpit comes with a seven-inch touchscreen radio with USB connectivity, Bluetooth, six-speaker system, 220-volt power supply, and front and rear air-conditioning system.

What makes the Maxus G10 powerful and fuel efficient at the same time is its Euro 4, 1.9-liter turbodiesel engine mated with a six-speed automatic transmission that generates 150ps and 350Nm of torque.

In terms of safety features, the G10 is equipped with front and side airbags for both the driver and front passenger, ISOFIX three-point seatbelts, and front parking sensors. The G10 has a price tag of P1,680,000.

Aside from the G10, Maxus Philippines also launched three variants (Comfort, Flex, and Transport) of its V80 van.

The V80 Comfort can accommodate up to 13 passengers, and can be used as a family van, a school bus, or a shuttle service.

The V80 Comfort has a plethora of safety features

Regarded as the widest in the V80 models, the Comfort can accommodate a 1.1-ton payload. It is powered by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel engine that produces 136ps and 330Nm of torque. It is mated with a six-speed manual transmission.

The V80 Comfort has a plethora of safety features as well, such as front airbags, anti-lock brake system with EBD, four-wheel disc brake and rear proximity sensors. It retails for P1,570,000.

On the other hand, the Flex variant is a three-seater cargo van model that shares the same dimensions, engine, and safety features of the V80 Comfort. With a spacious 6.9 cubic meters of cargo space and loading capacity of 1,100 kilograms, the Flex can be an ideal vehicle to transport products as it also features dual swing rear doors for accessibility and convenience. It is priced at P1,190,000.
